Barely a month after the launch of Switch 2, Nintendo is set to release the console’s next big game, Donkey Kong Bananza, in just a few weeks. It’s also the first new game in the franchise since 2014’s Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze. Regardless, there’s a little too much pent-up excitement for DK’s comeback in the new live-action trailer for Donkey Kong Bananza. YouTube user MikeyOrlando6665 summed it up pretty well in the top comment on the video: “Thank you for telling me this trailer wasn’t representative of the gameplay experience. I totally thought I’d have to play DK in front of a large crowd of people chanting DK instead of my usual gameplay experience of sitting alone in my basement in my underwear crying.”Most of the footage features the game’s 3D platforming experience, but it also showcases a side-scrolling sequence that serves as a callback to the original Donkey Kong Country from 1994.
