We knew DK was strong, but his fists can actually break terrain into chunks of rock, create tunnels, and hoist boulders over his head before hurling them at enemies. Destruction is one of the central mechanics. The game’s levels look like wide-open playgrounds for Donkey Kong to swing, roll, run, and bash his way through. Though it’s set in a subterranean world, Bananza will have a variety of themed locales, including forested areas, water and ice environments, canyons, and mines.The game’s plot revolves around a group of evildoers dubbed VoidCo. After VoidCo steals golden bananas from DK and his pals, Donkey Kong and Pauline team up to escape the underground mines and save the world.Pauline’s singing voice unlocks DK’s Bananza power, which temporarily turns him into an ostrich, zebra, and other animals–similar to how Cappy can capture enemies in Super Mario Odyssey.
